APHC Condemns BJP-Led Government's Oppressive Tactics in IIOJK
The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has issued a strong statement, expressing deep concern over the Indian government's brutal tactics and draconian laws in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. These measures are aimed at suppressing the Kashmiri people's legitimate struggle for self-determination.
In a statement released in Srinagar, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas criticized the Modi regime for its harsh policies targeting Kashmiri property. He described this as part of a broader anti-Kashmiri agenda by India.
Minhas urged international human rights organizations to intervene and pressure New Delhi to stop its systematic victimization of those advocating for their UN-recognized right to self-determination. He emphasized that India has been using proxies within and outside the occupied Kashmir to spread misinformation and defame Pakistan and the indigenous freedom movement.
The civil society in Srinagar has called for the immediate release of all illegally detained Kashmiris, including Khurram Parvez, a prominent human rights defender who has endured four years of unlawful detention. Thousands of other Kashmiris, such as Masarrat Aalam Butt, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, Muhammad Yasin Malik, and Aasiya Andrabi, remain imprisoned across India and the occupied Kashmir.
The situation has further deteriorated as Indian police and the State Investigation Agency have intensified raids and arrests in the Kashmir Valley. Pensioners and senior citizens have also raised concerns about the deteriorating conditions for both serving and retired Kashmiri employees.
During a press conference in Jammu, employee leaders criticized the Modi regime's discriminatory policies against Kashmiri workers, highlighting the dire circumstances they face.
